KOREA AIRPORTS CORPORATION (KAC), a government-owned enterprise, operates 14 airports across South Korea and has carried airport construction projects since it was founded in 1980. Besides, KAC operates its own Aviation Research Institute, Air-Route Control Center, 10 VOR/TACs and ICAO Regional Aviation Security Training Center. KAC supplies navigational aid system as well as airport equipment, including Passenger Boarding Bridge(PBB) and Baggage Handling System(BHS).
KAC cooperates with Korean airport equipment manufacturers such as AG and Yeomyoung each manufacturing PBB and BHS, respectively. KAC flat-floor tunnel system PBB guarantees convenience and safety for passengers and staff by enhancing mobility, especially for those on the wheelchair. In addition, KAC’s double-slope carousel for small and medium sized airports has the advantage of accommodating more baggage than other models, while occupying less space. Especially, KAC highlights the lightest and most compact ILS/VOR analyzer, FTS(Field Test Set), compared to those by other manufacturers.
