Richard is currently responsible for all airport development, charges, and operations matters; as required for the safety, economical and efficient operation of member airlines in the region. Prior to this, he was the IATA Regional Manager responsible for Safety and Flight Operations matters in the region. 

Before joining IATA in 2011, Richard held the position of Performance and Reliability Controller within Qantas Airways in Australia and spent more than 4 years as a safety manager with Qantas Group with responsibility for safety and risk management across a number of business divisions within the group.
