Ng Kuan Luen is Director, CAI-Ventures. He oversees the development of new businesses and strategies for the group and its portfolio investments. Among these, Mr Ng helped spearhead and launched with SGX the iEdge-GateEQ Global Aviation and Travel Ecosystem Index (Bloomberg Ticker: IEGATETR Index) for internal portfolio diversification and new business stream.
Mr Ng was previously the Head of Risk Management in CAI, where he helped established the enterprise and operations risks of the group. He led his team in managing the inherent risks of CAI investee companies, including assessments, monitoring and mitigation-facilitation throughout the investment life cycle.
Mr Ng brings to his role close to two decades of experience in investment management, financial modeling and deployment of portfolio strategies across all major asset classes. He also spearheaded multiple initiatives within CAI by leveraging CAI’s competitive advantage as an airport operator-led investor and integrating new portfolio management and business strategies into the group.
Prior to joining CAI, Mr Ng was responsible for managing GIC’s investment portfolio risks and performance. He led teams in portfolio stress-testing, optimisation and deal structure modeling, including real estate and private equity investments with valuations in excess of hundreds of millions.
Mr Ng graduated with a Master in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, London. He also holds a Master in Financial Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
