Ben is an architect and Principal with Populous and has 15 years’ experience including working on 6 different airports across the Asia Pacific.
Populous is known around the world for blending innovative design, technology and hospitality to create premier, flexible experiences at a variety of spaces in the public realm, from airports to convention centres, stadiums and arenas.
Populous pairs its human-centred design approach with proprietary data and operational experience to create the ideal travel experience that also meets the needs of airports today and into the future. Based in Singapore since 2009, Ben lead the design of Clark International Airport Interiors and the design to reimagine Kansai International Airport in Japan.
The contemporary airport experience has emerged as one of the single most important opportunities a city has to shape visitors’ impressions and the design for Kansai International Airport will improve the passenger experience for millions of locals and visitors, as well as to increase international capacity by 30%.
